You should sit in meditation for 20 minutes every day.
Unless you’re too busy, then you should sit for an hour.
When you’re in constant motion, always looking ahead, moving forward, preparing for the next class, the next clinical rotation, the next exam… how do you find balance? Where do you seek counsel? When do you notice a flower?
Join the Oregon Medical Education Foundation for Balance in Motion, the 2026 Student Wellness Retreat, April 18-19 at the Oregon Garden Resort in Silverton.
o Spend time in mentor-focused conversation with practicing clinicians
o Explore therapy art, with an emphasis on process over product
o Engage in career-focused conversations with clinicians and peers
o Take advantage of free time Saturday for a nap, a run, a quick peek at the books (if you must), or a dip in the hot tub
o Enjoy a reception, dinner, keynote speaker, and door prizes
o Sunday morning, challenge yourself with a vinyasa class or ease through a gentle yoga class, have a more in-depth conversation over breakfast with one of the clinicians, sleep in, leave early, or take a guided tour of the Oregon Garden
The detailed schedule will be released March 10, but plan to be at the Oregon Garden Resort from 9:30am-ish Saturday, April 18 through 11am-ish Sunday, April 19.
As ever, and thanks to our generous donors including the Oregon Clinic Foundation, there is no cost to you.
